The condition of sagging breasts, known as breast ptosis, may also be accelerated by pregnancy, breastfeeding and weight loss. Fortunately, the procedure of breast lift, or mastopexy, can restore your breasts' attractive and youthful shape.
A breast lift, or mastopexy, is a technique which moves the nipple and breast tissue to a higher level on your chest so that the nipple will lie at the desired level at or above the breast fold. The skin below the nipple is tightened and contoured to a more youthful shape.
A breast lift can be done with or without a saline or silicone breast implant for breast enlargement or augmentation, a decision that will be based on your personal goals.
At Renaissance Plastic Surgery, Dr. Fata is one of the few plastic surgeons in Indiana to offer the vertical, or short scar, breast lift. In this procedure, the long scar along the breast fold is eliminated to achieve a more natural shape.

The cost of a breast lift is $5,575. This includes the surgeon's fee, anesthesiologist's fee, surgery center facility fee. If you decide to combine a breast lift with saline implants the cost is $7,200. When applicable, the cost of an overnight 23 hour stay at the surgery center and all follow-up care by Dr. Fata. The exact cost can for breast lift surgery can only be determined after a consultation with Dr. Fata and the $50 consult fee will be deducted from the total.
