Extended Mini-Tummy Tuck Technique-Indianapolis, Indiana
An extended mini-tummy tuck uses the same short incision and scar as a mini-tummy tuck, and a limited amount of skin is removed. As in a mini-tummy tuck, a limited, horizontal incision is made in the “bikini line” region just above the pubic hairline, similar to the incision and scar used in a C-section.
The loose skin below the navel is lifted, stretched and the excess is removed. The main difference is that in an extended mini-tummy tuck, the tightening of the abdominal muscle tightening extends from the pubic region hairline up to the rib cage as in a standard, or full, tummy tuck.

A compression garment is used for 4 to 6 weeks as in other types of tummy tucks. A general anesthesia is required but like a mini-tummy tuck, unless you are having other procedures, an extended mini-tummy tuck can be performed as an outpatient at the surgery center in Carmel, Indiana near our Indianapolis office.
