Liposuction

Liposuction is the most popular procedure in plastic surgery. At Renaissance Plastic Surgery in Indianapolis, IN, we have found that the reason for this is simply because it works. If you have excess fat that won't respond to diet and exercise, then liposuction is the only proven method for "spot reduction" of a particular area of your body.
Liposuction works because it removes unwanted fat and also removes the cells that store the fat. If you maintain your current weight and level of exercise, results should be permanent.
Liposuction is performed by passing a hollow metal instrument (a cannula) through a small, hidden incision. The cannula is attached to a machine that creates a negative pressure to remove the fat. Afterwards, you would wear a compression garment for 3 – 4 weeks to minimize swelling and to help your skin tighten around your new, slimmer figure.

The cost of liposuction is between $3,436-$6,683. This includes the surgeon's fee ($1,750-$4,000), anesthesiologist's fee ($2,683), surgery center facility fee. When applicable, the cost of an overnight 23 hour stay at the surgery center and all follow-up care by Dr. Fata.
