Plastic Surgery - Costs and Financing

in Indiana

Welcome to one of the most popular web pages on every plastic surgery website. Prospective patients naturally want to know the cost for their cosmetic surgery procedure, but I would like you to consider not only the cost but also the value of what you will receive.

The fee for cosmetic surgery is composed of:

  • The surgeon's fee
  • The facility fee for the operating room and recovery room costs
  • The fee for an anesthesiologist when general anesthesia is required

Some procedures, such as fat injections or blepharoplasty, can be performed under a local anesthesia in which the patient is sedated and a numbing solution similar to Novocain is used. In these cases an anesthesiologist may not be required which will reduce the cost to the patient.

What is the value of your cosmetic surgery procedure?
It's a combination of the outcome of your surgery and the service you receive throughout the process. Most well trained plastic surgeons are competent enough to perform your surgery, but you surely want a surgeon that can get outstanding results consistently, and one who will listen to your goals, so that you end up with the result that is right for you.

You also want a plastic surgeon who will take care of you after surgery, rather than leaving you in the care of support staff. Most importantly, you want a plastic surgeon with the skill, patience and dedication to get you to your final destination of an outstanding result even if a problem arises. Although complications in cosmetic surgery are very unusual, they do occur and that is when having the right plastic surgeon is vital.

Get the best value for the cost
So when you are choosing a plastic surgeon, the cost of your procedure does matter but also be sure that you get the highest value. Picking the most expensive plastic surgeon may mean that you are paying for flourishes, such as marble countertops or high-end art work. But picking the cheapest plastic surgeon may be a case in which "You get what you pay for."

Financing plans
Although many patients do pay for cosmetic surgery out of pocket, financing has become an increasingly popular option. To assist our patients with financing, we have contracted with a number of reputable third party companies who can provide financing that is fair and competitive in the current market. We also accept VISA® and MasterCard®.

The cost of any procedure can be found on the web page describing that procedure, along with representative "Before & After" photos. In each case the total cost is given as a range because it is based on the time required and not all patients are alike. The exact cost can only be determined after your consultation.
