This patient lost a large amount of weight and was left with loose, hanging skin of her upper arms. She underwent a standard arm lift, or brachioplasty, which places the scar in a groove between the biceps and triceps muscles. Photos were taken before and 6 months after surgery. The contour is significantly improved. In most cases, the scars of an arm lift are more prominent and visible than for other types of body contouring surgery, such as a tummy tuck, and this patient has a fairly common outcome.
