This patient is a 36 year old woman who was seen for a consultation regarding the appearance of her nose. Her primary concerns were a large hump on the bridge of her nose and a wide nasal tip. She underwent open rhinoplasty to remove the hump, narrow the base of her nose, and to narrow and refine the appearance of her nasal tip. She is shown before and one year after surgery.

This 23 year-old patient did not like the appearance of the hump on the bridge of her nose. She also wanted a nose that was natural, somewhat smaller and one that better fit the size and shape of her face. She underwent a rhinoplasty in which the hump was removed, the width of her nose was narrowed, and the nasal tip was reshaped to take away the "boxy' square-shaped appearance and create a more natural soft pyramid. Photos were taken before and one year after surgery.
This patient is a 19 year-old woman who initially presented requesting correction of a large hump on the bridge of her nose and improvement of the appearance of her nasal tip. My clinical evaluation confirmed the presence of a large hump on the bridge of her nose consisting of both bone and cartilage. She also had a large, round, bulbous nasal tip which did not match the rest of her nose or her face. In order to correct thses problems, she underwent a rhinoplasty, which included extensive work to reshape the nasal tip, as well as a septoplasty to improve her breathing. She is shown before and one year after surgery.
This patient was unhappy with the bridge of her nose, which had a large hump. This hump was also pushing down on her nasal tip, creating too sharp of an angle with her upper lip. Both of these problems are best seen on the side view. She underwent cosmetic rhinoplasty to reduce the hump and gently elevate tha nasal tip. She is seen before and one year after surgery.
This 37 year-old patient was unhappy with the large hump on the bridge of her nose. She also felt that her nose was too long and pointy. She underwent a rhinoplasty in which the bridge, or dorsum, of her nose was lowered and the nasal bones were fractured to decrease both the height and width of her nose. The nasal tip was also reshaped and the tightness between the nasal tip and upper (seen on the profile view) was released. Photos were taken before and one year after surgery.
This patient was unhappy with her nose because she felt the bridge had a strong, masculine appearance and also because the nose was too long. She had a rhinoplasty to lower and soften the bridge and to shorten the length of the nose. These pictures were taken before and 6 months after surgery. Take note of how shortening the nose gave it a more feminine appearance and improved the relationship between the nose and the upper lip.
This patient did not like her nose because she felt it had a large hump on the bridge and was too big for the rest of her face. She did have a large nose with a prominent hump on the bridge but the nose appeared to be too large partly because she had a weak, receding chin. She had a cosmetic rhinoplasty and a chin implant at the same time. Photoes were taken before and 4 months after surgery.
This patient did not like the appearance of her nose because of a large hump on the bridge of her nose shown in the side view and a broad, boxy nasal tip seen on the front view. She had cosmetic rhinoplasty to correct both of these problems and these photos were taken before and 6 months after surgery. The base view, or "worm's eye" photos best demonstrate the change in the shape of the nasal tip from a wide, squared-off appearance to a soft triangle.
This patient had a traumatic injury to his nose 20 years ago but never sought treatment until he came to Dr. Fata. He had a wide nose with a flat bridge of the nose best seen on the profile view but, most importantly, the nasal tip had a twisted, depressed deformity. He underwent rhinoplasty to narrow the nose and to completely reconstruct the nasal tip. Pictures were taken before and 6 months after surgery.
