Breast lift surgery corrects ptosis – sagging breast tissue that can produce a droopy and unappealing breast position. It can also be used to improve nipple placement, particularly in cases where ptosis has resulted in irregular nipple positioning.
As tissue is lifted and the breast mound is firmed, it is not uncommon for the size of the breasts to decrease slightly. For some women, this is of no concern. For others, even a slight size reduction can change upper body dynamics. For others still, breast enlargement is a goal along with lifting droopy tissue. Combining Breast Augmentation with Breast Lift
Breast augmentation is used to enhance the size of the breasts. It can also be used to correct asymmetry, produce a more noticeable cleavage, and bring the breasts into ideal alignment with surrounding features. Breast augmentation utilizes breast implants to create a fuller and more pronounced breast appearance, but it needn’t create an unnatural look. Breast Implant Options
Dr. Fata offers both saline and silicone breast implants. There are unique benefits and specific limitations to each type of implant, making it difficult to determine which is optimal for your needs without an evaluation of your current breast size and shape, and all surrounding body parts. One thing is true for saline and silicone implants, however: both types can be used in conjunction with breast lift surgery to produce a fuller, more lifted, and more complementary appearance.
