What Is The Best Type Of Breast Implant - Saline or Silicon?

Plastic Surgeon Serving Indianapolis, Indiana

Transcript: Choosing a breast implant for breast augmentation is one of the most important decisions you will make. First, you have a choice between silicone and saline – and 99% of my patients choose silicone because of the more natural look and feel. Another variable is the surface of the implant, and you can use either a smooth-walled implant or one with a more textured feel. I normally use the smooth-wall implant because it moves more freely and naturally with the breast. But in certain situations, a more stable position – as can be achieved with this textured implant – might be preferred. The last choice is between a round and a teardrop shaped implant. For the average patient, the round implant works very well, but in certain situations, in which we don’t have any breast shape to work with, a teardrop shaped implant will give a more natural appearance. If you’re considering breast augmentation and would like to hear more about these options, please give our office a call and schedule a consultation at 317-575-9152 or visit our website at www.RenPlastics.com.
